APPROACH


The butterfly became a key element as they represent healing and transformation. By creating a design that had the butterfly separated, I aimed to showcase the beginnings of the healing process. I utilised cyanotype to create a lovely gritty texture that aided in showcasing the more difficult side of healing. I wanted to showcase the process of the theme, not just the what the end result could look like.
