A group project with the aim to make Gray’s School of Art marketing more exciting and dynamic and to be aimed at students rather than parents. We were given five obstructions for this project based on the documentary ‘The Five Obstructions.’ There were to be five outputs, each one responding to a particular obstruction. I created a design that had to fit onto either a First-Class Postage Stamp or an A1 sheet of paper. We all completed one output with cohesive branding we created together.

APPROACH

I decided on an A1 sheet of paper for my design and landed on the idea of a board game filled with illustrations that relate to Gray's, campus, and also Aberdeen as a city. I also created playable characters that are significant to the city of Aberdeen. This is something that could be quite comforting for new students and it can remind them of their childhood and could also make for a great ice breaker with other students!
